Hello! I was rescaling my tank and my tuxedo was in the wavemaker and I didn’t see it when I grabbed it and I got pricked and the force of me grabbing the wavemaker broke a piece of its shell off, will it be okay? It’s been cruising around still

I’m not home right now but no it’s an actual piece of it’s shell

Im not sure then...hopefully someones had some experience.

It depends how bad it is broken. They can survive a lot, but a significant break in the test can absolutely lead to death

It’s about a 1” by 1/2” piece

What is the size of the urchin itself?
It actually ended up dying, my fat a** filefish ate its insides when I was gone, but it was about 3” diameter
