Hey there.
I’m a few days into my leak test for a brand new Aquarium Masters 120g Reef Ready. Are these photos indicative of stress on the seams? Pretty sure they were solid black when I got the tank.

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Leak test is always wise....

If you run your fingers along the inside seam, do you feel any bubbles or irregularities? I'd keep it filled for another few days maybe even a week or so and see if anything changes (color or appearance changes, seam expansion or possibly e even a drip..)

Given this is a new tank, I would probably contact the manufacture and share some of these photos as well to get their expert opinion.

from what I can see in the photos, there does not appear to be any bulging or gapping between the glass panels - this is what I would typically look for in a stressed seam.

The leak test had been going for about three days. I just drained it to prepare to move it into the house on Sunday.

Maybe I’m just being paranoid. Silicone feels smooth inside and out.

Do these photos happen to be on the same seam? If so, id probably be a little more stressed which would warrant some assurances from the manufacture...If the streaking wasn't there prior to the leak test, there is definitely some concern.

However, if you didn't see any drops, and there is no obvious separation or or lifting of the silicone, the lighter marks may jus be cosmetic...

No, they’re on opposite sides of the tank.

Examining the tank with a flashlight, the irregular colors seem to correspond to differing thicknesses of silicone where they wiped off the excess on the inside. I think that’s fine then.
