Hello friends, I have been using the balling method for a while now and according to my calculations, I had to dose 1.85 ml of each solution into the tank daily. Within a week, the kh increased significantly (9.7) and I reduced the dose to 1 ml and today, after a week, I reached kh (9.9). Please help me.

Dose less.

How did you set the dose?

FWIW, going to remove the emergency tag.
Well, I thought this was an emergency. I apologize. I tested and found that my daily KH consumption in my tank was 0.28 ppm and I followed the instructions from the company for this product, considering the tank's literage.

So I'll finally wait until it drops to 8.5 and start a lower dose. Do you approve?

If that means 0.28dkh per day, how did you test it? Low consumption brings its own problems as sometimes the consumption is lower than the ability of the test/user to get reliable results.

Not a problem on the tag. It's just not needed once folks are responding with reasonable advice. :)

Not sure how you measured the demand, but either it was an overestimate, it dropped since, or the product is more potent than you think. That all assumes the alk measurements are accurate (may not be).

There's nothing wrong with 9-10 dKH, so there are several approaches. Stopping is fine and tracking the drop (which fixes the demand measurement issue, if that's the issue).

Alternatively, you could drop the dose 4x and see what happens over time and iteratively change the dose to stabilize the reading. That eliminates all three possible issues at the same time.

I thank you

Well, actually my tank is 18 liters and my corals are very small. I use the Hanna test kits. I did the first test and then 4 days later I did the test again and divided the amount of KH decrease by 4.

I have a little problem with this Xenia. Some are fine and some are not happy at all. What is the reason?
