That is why I love gyre style pumps. You can rotate the cages to get a wide span of flow here or there. When setting mine up, I always use a woodstone at the return to blow microbubbles through the tank. This allows me to see what is going where and how it interacts. It also scrubs the tanka little lol.Flow has been given me fits. In finally figured it out. I pointed on one side slightly down. This prevent the crashing of the two gyres. They aren't quiet synced.
Thats the plan for this weekend. I don't have a Woodstone I do have a couple of airstones. That is why I love gyre style pumps. You can rotate the cages to get a wide span of flow here or there. that works too. especially if you lay them right under the inlet of the return. The return chops up the bubbles pretty good anyways.Thats the plan for this weekend. I don't have a Woodstone I do have a couple of airstones.
I cant wait to see it.that works too. especially if you lay them right under the inlet of the return. The return chops up the bubbles pretty good anyways.
Whats funny is I did this years ago and I mean years ago to setup a bunch of Tunze pumps. I noticed how much better the rocks looked after doing it and how quickly one of leathers finished shedding. Not becuase of the flow, but the bubbles bieng through around like a wave crash or something. I still scrub all of my tanks every 3 days. Even the BC32 lol. Nothing seems affected by it in a bad way, but rocks are always clean, sand is always white in the tanks that have sand and the BB tank collects less detritus.
I need to try this. When setting mine up, I always use a woodstone at the return to blow microbubbles through the tank. This allows me to see what is going where and how it interacts. It also scrubs the tanka little lol.
Finally polyps are opening now to remove the angel and place in bosses tank
I'm not to upset about it. It's still In a tank I see on a regular bases. My bosses tank is a place where I can grow things out.If flame in the nem tank, I would probably try to buy it from you.
