Question: what size pipe / elbows and unions did you ? Thanks in advance?

Hey mate, the reducer from the main pipe is 40-32mm, then all the pvc elbow fittings etc are 32mm.

Hope it helps, I was lucky my LFS had all different size pvc fittings so it made it very easy.

Yeah I ended up getting a CADE and happy with it for the most part. The switches are complete junk (as in the lights in them) but the rest seems good.
My old WB is still going strong after 3 years but for a larger tank it's nice having a lighter material compared to the mdf I think.



Tank looks awesome mate and sump is looking cleeaaan. Much cleaner than mine... I need to vac it or something haha

They don't break as such but the lights inside the switches can dim and end up not working at all, but the actual switch is not affected and works fine.
A few of my switches have dimmed but I'm not too worried as it's behind a door and you don't see it.

Yeah, as shadyraro mentioned the switch itself still works fine however the lights can dim out or blow completely.
I think on my tank I have at least 4 that have gone out completely or extremely dim. My first one or two were dimming within weeks of having it set up.

It's a bit disappointing for the money you pay for the tank as a whole, you'd expect some decent leds in the switches.
Cade did offer to replace/repair but it meant pulling the unit out and sending it out before they would send the replacement which I wasn't a fan of so I've just left it as is.

2-Is there room for a uv sterilizer?
3-Have you considered swapping out the lighted switch strips for something of better quality (your lights going out).

Nice choice of tank you're going to love it!
The main reason for the pads was to spread the load of the tank onto the floor, the feet are quite small and I felt it was a lot of pressure with a small surface area for each foot on the timber.
I don't use a uv but there is room depending on where you want to put it, the sump area is 2ft wide and the cabinet 1ft so you could put it in either, or you could remove the divider wall between the sump and cabinet and have one big space to play with.
And I'm not really worried about changing the power bars as they work fine even tho a couple have dimmed, it's no big deal to be honest.

I do like the Reef Factory equipment but I’m not quite sold on their roller, the RedSea has been fantastic and I’m pretty impressed with the 2 I’ve had.

Update:

During the week I ordered 3 red bio ball holders and they arrived yesterday. I’m really impressed with the quality and how they look, and they fit perfectly where the media baskets were. I’m thinking of eventually removing the 4 media blocks as they take up a bit of space, especially while sitting in the 4 block holder. I also added extra bio balls to fill up the holders so there’s around 3.5kg of balls in total now. But for now I’ll let the new balls seed in and see how we go.
The tank is cruising along nicely and the coral and fish all seem fine, even the elegance coral that bailed is still hanging in there opening up daily.
My KH keeper is doing a fantastic job keeping my nutrients in check, it’s linked with my doser which doses alk, mag and cal as required from the 3 daily test results which are quite stable. All other parameters are good and we’ve had a few 40 degree days here in Sydney which really tested the tank, but our houses aircon helped keep the tank at a decent temp and everything was fine.

Question for you on the 6 4x4 anti vibration pads mentioned above - what thickness did you use? I'm on wood as well and have been looking on and off for a good solution yours seem to disappear from sight which is my goal - just want to make sure I get enough to do their job but thin enough as to not be an eyesore!

The pads are 15mm thick purchased from a hardware store in Australia, they do a great job protecting the floor boards especially as our floor is raised and not on a concrete slab. I'll add a link to the pads so you can see what I purchased.

Update:

Well it's been a few months between updates so I thought I'd fill you in on what's been happening.
Around October/November last year I lost quite a few corals and I wasn't sure why, I got an ICP test done to see if there was any obvious issues with the water chemistry but everything came back normal.

I wanted to work out why my corals were dying so I decided to try a few different things and see how we go, these were all done before xmas.

Firstly, the sump, skimmer, reefmat and base pump were all due for a 6 monthly clean, so I decided to do a big water change at the same time and do it all at once. Well I thought my sump was pretty clean but once I pulled everything out and got in there with a scraper cleaning the sump walls, the water started turning brown.
I cleaned all the equipment and pumped the dirty sump water out, I then drained about half of the display water out and refilled the system with fresh NSW.

I also reduced my lighting schedule gradually from 12 hrs to 10 as LPS don't need to much of a photo period, they're now running a 2 hour ramp up, 6 hour peak and 2 hour ramp down. My lights run at 60% and when I hired a par meter a couple months ago, the top rock ledge was 200, middle 120 and sand 80, so it's pretty standard really for what I have.

I'm also using NSW now after having used ASW for the last couple years, this was something I've been wanting to do for a while but never really followed through with. For me using NSW is just easier and quicker to do larger water changes were I don't have to mix salt and go through the process, where as I can just go to my LFS and pick up 100L NSW no problem and put it straight into the tank. Also the long term plan apart from upgrading to a bigger tank is to get an IBC where I can store 1000L of water, so it just made sense to make the change.

Fast forward to today and the tank is flourishing, all my corals are colouring up and opening bigger then before and it's so good to just sit back and enjoy it. I don't know what change has made the tank better but I'm really happy with how it's looking, and even tho I was away on holidays for a week the tank just ran itself didn't miss a beat.

I also installed a RF Power Switcher X4 which has my skimmer, reactor and pax bellum currently plugged into it.
It's a great piece of kit and I've currently set it to turn off the skimmer and reactor when the sump water level rises using the RF level sensor, and the pax is set to come for 8hrs during the night so I'm pretty happy with it.
I also added a few chromis and they've settled in nicely, and I put a LED strip underneath the tank to pimp it up a bit lol.

Do you run Chaeto in your pax bellum? If so anywhere in particular you can recommend to get some? I've tried my 2 LFS before but one gave some weird stuff, I don't even know what it was called, but it didn't do particularly great (but I also didn't have flow working the way I wanted) but neither had any chaeto.

The power switcher seems like a cool idea. Does it notify you if there's issues or anything like that?

Always envy looking at this tank lol. DT looks good and the sump etc. looks so clean and organised... I really need to get off my butt and do something about mine...

Don't be fooled by the pics they were taken straight after an overhaul lol.
Yeah I run chaeto in my pax, my LFS doesn't have chaeto either but one of the guys who works there gave me a handful from his tank a few months ago and it's still going strong. Let me know if you need any and I'll sort some out for you.
The power switch is great and it's like all the other RF gear where you get notifications if there's an issue, I'm really liking the RF gear I can't really complain tbh.
