Thanks Parker!! Will be lit up tonight with a temporary solution. Going to be so cool.

I’ve considered keeping it as it is, it’s almost like an underwater zen garden. However I will 100% change that and add life within a couple days lol.

Currently lit up with a nicrew 50w for the mangrove. I think I’m going to use a nicrew for the coral as well. Honestly they have really nice colour.

Update time!!

I found majano in the 120 so I’ve added two filefish.

I also finally added some clean up crew to the mangrove lagoon, as well as a diamond goby to sift the sand

Looking at lights this week for the lagoon so i can add some coral, leaning towards some cheap amazon options. I think im leaning towards running the 120 solely as a soft coral tank... we shall see.

Hadn’t scraped glass in 4+ weeks. Added 25 astrea, 10 trochus, and a diamond goby. The first life in the lagoon.

Here are two photos. The first as they were added and 48 hours later. Incredibly impressive change to the glass and sand.

Okay one more update on the UNS 60CS Mangrove Lagoon and then I’ll do an R120 update. The photo below is basically how the tank has looked for over a month.

No light, No coral, wrong flow, and lots of algae/cyano.

I finally did something about it. Changed up the positioning of the wavemaker and added a light (nicrew 150w). Once that was done I added some macro algae, a clam, and some of my coral from the R120.

Needless to say, the tank is finally looking how I pictured it.

I decided I’m not a big fan of the halimeda and I’m going to replace that with another clam and add a bit more coral today. Stay tuned.
