Hello R2R!

Very excited to start this build, beyond excited actually. The time has come to combine all three of my aquariums into something big and beautiful.

Decided to go with the R120 (Check them out here) by Ultum Nature Systems. These tanks are so so so beautiful. On top of that, so well planned. I'm notorious for having a dangerous mess of cables and wires hiding somewhere behind my tanks. The good news, the R120 comes with an easy to use controller box and cable management system. Bye bye rats nest!

Tank dimensions are 47.24 x 23.62 x 23.62. The display is approximately 95 gallons and the included sump brings the total system volume to about 122 gallons. Lots of room to keep my existing livestock and maybe have room for one or two more fish. I've had my eye on a purple tang for ages, if i can find a small enough specimen I will certainly be adding one to the tank.

Planned Equipment/Essentials:
Lights: Illumagic X4's with vitamini strips for added coverage.
Skimmer: Dalua Great White GW-12 DC
Flow: Dalua Great White Wavemakers
Return: Dalua Great White Return
Heater: Something titanium, maybe IM Helio
Controller: No plans yet
Doser: Kamoer 4 Channel
Salt: Aquaforest Reef Salt

Livestock Plans
I have a ton of livestock that will need to be moved over, I plan on emptying all three tanks and adding to the new tank on the same day so the aquascape will have to be put together on the spot. Im confident I can make it look nice with the rock that I've got and I will be using some AF rock to fill in any gaps. I just need to consider which fish I will keep and which will be given to friends. I currently have 7 damsels in my 40 gallon and my two talbots are jerks so I'll most likely re-home them. I have a very obvious obsession with sarcophyton. I have about 13 different varieties, it will be nice to give them some room and flow to get them to their full potential. On top of the softies I have a small collection of fleshy LPS. Lobophyllia, Symphyllia, Bowerbanki, and others. I suppose it will be a mixed reef, no plans for sps as of yet.

More updates to come as I prepare to receive delivery of the tank and equipment!

Following along! Can't wait to see how your tank looks like once you get it set up!

Awesome! I just purchased the R90 for a new build… wanted the 120 or 150 but the price jump was a little steep. Beautiful tanks though, I’m excited to see it in person…
That’s amazing! The 90’s are equally as beautiful. I’ll keep an eye out for your tank thread!

Okay working at an LFS is dangerous… I’m now obsessed with the idea of adding a Baby tang gang. My thought process is if I get a group of juvenile tangs now, and add them to the bigger tank all at once, it will avoid unnecessary aggression.

Also, getting XS specimens will let me enjoy them a bit longer before needing to either upgrade or rehome them!

So far I’ve got a Dejardini, Tomini, and Orange Shoulder. All smaller than my clownfish. Planning on getting a purple and either a convict or power blue!

Started working on the aquascape! I’m using AF rock and stone fix to build two islands. These two islands will be for LPS and SPS. A third island will be build on the right hand side using live rock that’s already in my tank. That will be used to keep my softies that I can’t quite part with!

Let me know what you guys think, it’s my first time building an actual scape instead of just stacking rocks.
