Dudes, the tank has arrived! Now I gotta kick into high gear and get the room ready. The equipment is shipping out soon so I have time to get the room painted and cleaned up. Let’s goooooooo!

Received my R60, love the tank right out of the box but had fitment issues on the plumbing lines. They are 1/4" short in height and length. Don't want to force anything and waiting for the warranty tech to get back to me Monday (they have been very responsive all day Friday which is awesome)

Looks like a template fabrication issue in their production. I do templates as part of my business in construction so it's an easy fix on their end. I have the tank currently circulating with water with power heads just trying to get surface agitation for gas exchange since it's a new setup. Patiently and anxiously awaiting the solution so I can get this thing fully running

I love the system and integrated features, as well as the mitered tank corners! This will be a hit in the market once everyone is aware

Saturday afternoon update - received an email update this afternoon if you can believe that! They are shipping me out a new set of made pipes to plumb the tank so I can get it fully operational. Nothing like fantastic customer service!

Awesome to hear their customer service is on point! Still haven’t opened the crate to see mine yet. It’s killing me but I’m painting the wall the tank is going to be up against.

Okay I caved and open up the stand in the garage.

First impressions:

The pre assembled stand is a game changer for me. Eliminating user error is huge. I know what I’m doing but not having to build a stand and worry that it’s put together properly makes me very happy.

The fit and finish is top tier. Everything looks clean and no sharp edges.

Really love the grey colour and the magnetic removal panels are super easy to take off and put back on.

I’ll dive a bit deeper into detail tomorrow when I bring it in the house but I’m super impressed right from the get go!

Wow, I’m blown away by the quality of the tank and stand. The sump has a fantastic fit and finish.

The plumbing was a breeze to install and looks clean.

Love the included ATO. It came with a spout for easy filling which I love.

All my equipment arrived today! Woohoo. Just need a decent power strip and a heater and we’re off to the races.

The great white skimmer looks great in the sump. Easy to assemble too.

Loving the controller panel on the front. The Dalua controllers look so good, easily accessing them on the front panel is going to be so nice.

My current dilemma is where to position my powerheads. On the side or on the back? Hmm

Leak test underway! So far so good, other than my emergency drain leaking like crazy which when I took apart and found the issue.

Mystery of where does this rubber o-ring go has been solved… ‍

Tank is getting salty. My basement is pretty cold in the winter and the 300w heater isn’t keeping up. Going to need something a bit bigger.

What heater did you go with? This is my first time with a Ranco after reading bad review for inkbirds and a ****** experience with APEX back in the day.

Right now I’m using an inkbird 300w but I’m also going to use two 200w moving forward. Just borrowed this one from a friend to get the tank going!
