Short stands tall skimmers! Why????

Can't tell if this is a serious question or not LOL
but my guess is so the average hobbyist doesn't need to pull out a ladder to do general tank maintenance

Hahaha.

I am replacing my fiance's 125 with a new 125 because hers is scratched real bag and has a small leak in it. Well the old stand is taller but it has no room for a sump. Well the new stand has plenty of room for a sump but is shorter. Now the skimmer wont fit. Who makes a stand that only has 23" of clearance from the floor to the bottom brass. Really why? Seriously.

How long will a 125 with 150lbs of LR, 6" Puffer, 6" tang, 6" twimspot wrasse, 2 clowns, 3" bicolored angel, 3" black and gold damsel, and a 3" purple damsel be ok with monthly 30% WC and no skimmer?

That's why I build my own stands... Standard factory stands are just too short for me. I'd rather not have to look way down to see my tank. Downside is you need a chair to reach some stuff, but it is a good trade off. Also my skimmer fits ;)

No corals????? If it's fo. You don't need to really worry about anything I would throw a canister filter on there full of carbon and call it a day... A regular 10 percent change weekly or bi-weekly should do the job ... Without corals nitrates are not really a issue IMHO....;)

Yeah would of loved to built a stand but I am in the middle of three aquarium projects and moves. Rebuilding my 90 need to buid a stand for it. Tearing down my 46 that crashed, tearing down and replacing my fiance's 125 and moving the turtles to the old 125.

Yeah no corals. She loves starfish. So the chocochip star, red knob star, and both atlantic stars love corals so no corals and i got the bicolored because he started eating corals. Would a wet/dry work? Should I keep the bioballs or throw them out. I have the wet/dry sitting in the shed.

wet dry is fine the bio balls are great and do there job for sure!!!!! only thing is maintaining them i mean a bi-weekly swish in a bucket of tank water is all that's needed to keep the detrius out and they work like a charm....you do your part they will do there part...;)

By a swish you mean I can do a water change pull the bio balls out and just mix them around in the old water real quick? I can do that.

Yep, got it right.. just to loosen up any detritus that has built up in the bioballs

Agreed^^^^^^... that's all it takes... Anything else will take the good bacteria off them and then they start the cycle all over...
