My new fav in the tank

What is that? I'm still in search of a reef friendly star. Linkia is now a never-again star simply because i lost 3 trying. Keeping those in the ocean! Sand sifter is a work horse, not oh-look-at-me cool. =0

I'm told my orange bisquit star is quite rare, not sure if that's true or not, but I've never seen another for sale. My wife spotted it and had to have it, she named it cheesit lol. He lives in my 65 gallon. He has inspired my wife to agree to a large in wall build as part of a home addition in a couple years!

Do you still have this little guy? If not how long did you have him for and what did you feed him? Yes they are very rare.

I lost my tank in a flood last summer. He was still doing well and growing. it would pass over some campfire zoas occasionally and leave a path of destruction. I never knew if it actually ate them on purpose or not. I had a 100 gallon area of sump space stacked with rock, and a 75 gallon cryptic sump on that system. Not sure if these contributed to his happiness or not.

Oh no! That’s so sad.:( So he lived for over two years then. Did you ever get a new tank? They do sometimes eat corals if they are hungry or wandering g as they are reef safe caution.

I know this thread is old but I propose we post again in this thread! Meet Cookie he is a Goniaster Tessellatus and I love him very much much! In fact I didn’t know I could have this much love and admiration for a starfish. I’ve had him for almost 7 months!:star-struck:

Do you still have this one? If not how long did you have it/what’s the longest you’ve had a star?
Hi,
I no longer have em as I think that my inability to target feed em may have been a reason for its demise. 90 gallon tank broad feed everyday and he lived for almost 6 months give or take.

I have several serpent stars, but here are two. The first is a harlequin that I purchased, and the second is one I captured near Key West. I thought the stark white central disk was interesting and have never seen another like it.
