So I just purchased my first rock anemone at my LFS yesterday. and WOW! The color on this baby is incredible! I am IN LOVE and how slightly addicted.
So.... I wanna see yours! Tell me a little about them too. What made you want one? How do you care for yours? Any special tricks? Anyone have a super rare one they are insanely proud of, or save one from the brink of death??

I have a bright yellow one I got for a steal at a local reef shop. They are easy to care for and grow as fast as you feed them.

Prices are coming down to as they become more common and some of the colors are pretty wild.

Only reason I don't get more is because they typically grow horizontal they aren't readily visible unless you are looking down on the tank. Not sure how Alimac did it, but that's a cool job with his.

I actually have six.... these are the only two visible ones. Got em from aquatic arsenal for a really good deal! ($13 each). Anybody have any feeding tips?? They’re all the way shoved into rocks so target is kinda difficult but I try. I’m also feeding really heavy right now so I’m hoping that they’re getting something?

I only feed mine when my son thaws seafood for our crab tank and makes too much, then it (shrimp, slam, scallop, octopus, squid, mussel, ext) gets chopped up very small and fed to the nems. Maybe once or twice a month

Like you, I just enjoyed the color pop that these bring! Started out with a few and now have babies pop up all over the place. Since the tank gets heavily fed twice a day I don't do any supplemental feeding. They just fend for themselves.

I even find them popping up in the GSP mat after it retracts for the night.

With no sand to crawl into, they find nooks and crannies in the rock work to hang out in.

I see you have a vipar. What are your settings???
Hey @alimac122
Sorry I thought I responded here.
Its not a vipar it's an old school reef radiance 135watt I picked up hardly used.
I have them sitting at around 150 par.
I'm in shallow water frag table about 30" from top of water. For spread its actually over 2 tables...
