@PicosReef I hope you're healthy and okay. That was a gorgeous tank!
I am healthy and all my fish are healthy too! I ended up downsizing even more to just my 30 long and a 20. Luckily I've always been more focused on corals than fish, so everyone happily fits in their new homes without having a major bioload! Thank you for checking on me ❤

Everything is stock, save I added a small powerhead.

So the light on this tank is enough for a BTA and LPS?

Cheers,
rant
I originally put it in there because it wasn't happy in the other tank it was in. Since I've put it it in the nano, the anemone has moved a grand total of an inch to the left, and seems to be doing great. I feed the tank, and I notice the anemone grabbing pieces of frozen food, so it is eating too. If it needed more light it would start moving up. It seems to be happy on the bottom.

Honestly I think the stock light gets bad reviews because it isn't "blue" enough for some peoples tastes. Look on my thread from one month to the next - huge amounts of growth. No skimmer, semi-weekly one to two gallon h2o changes. That's it.

YAY! A thread just for Evo's!

Happy So Excited GIF

I need to dig out the Canon and start practicing my photography skills. The tank is sitting in my kitchen right now, and I won't lie... it's so calming to look at in the morning while I'm getting ready for work. (I am NOT a morning person). But I think I'll enlist my husband to build me a custom stand so I can hide all my wires and ATO.

Now I just have to wait until those ugly diatoms to go away!

HAPPY REEFING! <3

First Post! My humble little office tank. About 3 months old. Been doing weekly water changes using NSW. Filter floss in chamber 1, chaeto in chamber 2. Aquamaxx Nemolight 18w.

I love your tank! It's beautiful! I hope I can place my corals as awesome as you have! Two clowns, too!? I only have one, but I'd love another. Do they both seem happy? I'll definitely get another one if I can!

Thank you! I’m lucky to have acquired some of the bigger pieces, and now that the tank is stocked it’s time to let everything grow! The two clowns are super happy. I definitely sought to purchase the smallest ones at the LFS since our tanks are small. I think you can add another without overcrowding. If you’re not planning on putting anemones in your tank go for frogspawn, they love hosting that stuff. And maybe some cleanup crew crabs for your algae. Looking forward to seeing the progress of your tank!

My fluval turned 1 year old mid month mid Feb, hitting a major milestone. One of the best progressions to setting up stability is setup Auto Water changes (ATW). Each night 1 gallon of water gets changed out over 10 separate intervals. I have my Jaebo DP4 do this with two buckets in my stand. One bucket has 1.2 gal of fresh water, it takes one gal of new salt water fills the DT and one pump takes away one gal of DT water and discards it into an empty buckets. Its a pretty easy maintenance schedule, once a day I fill up the fresh water buck and dump the old water bucket. I use the old water sometimes for quarantine tank or simply just to rinse out the poly pad... Who says you can't play with the big tanks? I can.. I don't need to use my carbon/GFO reactor anymore. I can do this because I setup an auto mixing station in my basement so I have a lot salt water ready all the time. Someday i'll have a bigger tank but loving the Fluval now. I think I count 24 corals, 5 fish and many CuC. I often dont need to test because of how stable the AWC system makes parameters. 1-2 nitrate, 0.06 phosphate, Alk is 8.5-9.0 (i dose 5ml/Day), Cal and MG is all in check. Good times.

Hi all. Just saw this thread and love everyone's evo's. Such a great tank. Here's mine at the 5 month mark. Added intank chamber 1 media basket and upgraded the pump to the ehiem 1000 for better flow. I liked the hood so I elevated it slightly for better air circulation to keep heat down with no heater needed. I added 2 blue led timer strips under the hood for a ramp up and ramp down, it also gives the tank that antic pop which is awesome. Running chemi pure blue, seachem matrix and gel. No skimmer. 2 1/2 water change every 2 weeks. Running great.
