Honestly I don't even know where to go with it. I think it's too much rock but my wife is against taking any out.
Start a post on the aquascaping forum, stick a few pictures on from different angles and plenty of people will chime in with help, one of my favourite sub sections of this site if I'm honest

Hey all, I'm new to saltwater, though I have been in fresh hobby for a while. Thought I would give this a try after reading and doing research for about a year and a half to 2 years.

Picked up the 13.5 Evo and jumped in. So far for equip or mods:
13.5 evo ofcourse
Fluval M100 heater. "Chose this over the recommended M50 due to being the same dimensions and should be able to be more stable or Handel any swings better"
Picked up the InTank baskets 1 and 2 to replace the foam insert for better flow and media I can insert.
I'm leaving the rest stock as far as equipment for now but may upgrade pump and light at a later date.
I haven't added or won't add carbon or other chemical media till cycled but I do plan on getting marine pure spheres or gems to add.
Here is a short video of my scape idea, just not sure if it's enough rock it's about 10 to 15 pounds give or take, forgive the flyers lol still working on scape.
Any suggestions would be great as to the scape or filter media I should look into. I plan on using chemipure blue nano as far as chemical media so I shouldent have to use others with it I belive. 1603393531796487773334.jpg 16033936378322024213960.jpg

My Fluval setup is over 8 months old, pretty stable..time to grow some more coral.- Coraline algae is growing pretty well.

Five fish, two Clowns, Orchid Dottyback, Yellow coris wrasse and a Snarknose Goby

Large selection of inverts; hermit crabs, snails, purple banded shrimp, urchin.

Mixed reef; BTA, Pulsing Xenia, Zoas, Monti's, Gonapora, mushroom,
GSP.

I have some pretty good tech on it.
  1. AI Prime HD 16
  2. Intank media basket #1
  3. Sicce 1.0 return pump
  4. BRS Reactor (GFO&Carbon)
  5. Inkbird Wifi temp controller w/Cobalt 50w heater
  6. Jaebo 0-20 wave maker
  7. Jaebo DP4 dosier
  8. Tunze ATO
Keep patient and it eventually will come around. Be good about water changes and maintenance. I usually perform 2 hours on Saturdays.

My 2 year old tank that was a victim to covid (I am high risk and getting water has proven incredibly difficult. After a faulty RO situation at my LFS causing a massive nutrient spike, I just couldn't get a handle on it). Moved everyone to my other 3 tanks but really want to rebuild my baby. Here she was in all her glory.

Beautiful tank Pico!
Sorry to hear of your water misfortune. I’m also high risk and have had a hard time getting stuff. If it doesn’t come from Amazon, I send my wife to the store for me.
Im sure you’ll be getting it back to it’s full glory soon.
Stay safe my friend!

Thank you! I have an RODI set up from Amazon ($60!) but it just takes so long to make water AND then mix it while also being full time student, doing a house remodel, and the added stress of just surviving a pandemic. Luckily my other tanks are large enough theyre just a bit unsightly with the algae from the reduced water changes but my poor little evo, not so much.

I also have the RO Buddy from Amazon. Takes forever to fill a five gallon jug. Is there a Petco near you? They sell 5 gallon boxes of sea water. Maybe you can send someone to pick up a few for you.
Hang in there. We WILL get past this virus and get back to normal some day!

That’s not a stock light, why light is it?
It’s a NiCrew Hyper Reef 30watt. In that picture, I had it mounted in the stock hood which I modified. It’s now hanging and I went without a top.
