I fed my bta a small shrimp around noon it took it and ate it no problem. Around 10pm the coral banded shrimp in my tank climbed on top reached deep in the anemones mouth and pulled out a half digested shrimp. Is this normal?

Yes, very normal. Part of the reason that I don't have any shrimp in my tank. Hermits will do it too, but it takes less to keep them satisfied and they can't swim, so it's not as big a deal with hermits.

I would give the shrimp its own meal to keep it satiated when feeding your nem and perhaps feed the nem smaller pieces so it can digest it quicker...and see how you go....some shrimp are just maniacs though, i like to keep LPS corals and won't stock shrimp because of their behaviour

Perhaps the nem didn’t even want the food. When they want to eat, they eat.

If after 10 hrs there is still food hanging around its mouth, it was too much food imo.

+1 Kinda wish I hadnt put one in, but at the same time he's too cool to take out now. I give him a chunk of Reef Frenzy and he stays plenty occupied. Loves to steal lol

I wouldn't worry about it, both the shrimp and the anemone will be fine.
Neither one is going to starve.

That pretty much describes all of my shrimp except my coral banded....all I ever see of him is his antennae and an occasional claw. The blood and skunk shrimp will steal from my RFA's if I don't stand guard over them until they get the food in their mouths.
