My bros i feel like I figured out the Alk puzzle with A4R. If im right ill have to dose equal parts Alk Fusion and A4R until day 5-7 then stop dosing Alk Fusion altogether but im going to walk this tank through it and 100% record what im seeing. If done right i think its the magic ticket. First cpl weeks while the bacterial process takes place is the tricky part.

AFR gives me analysis paralysis every time I start reading up on it. I think I may just be too stupid for dosing, generally.

Me too bro. I literally can't read the mag and cal colors and im too dumb and impatient to figure out how to use the hanna checkers. Used mag and cal hanna checkers once like year and half ago and boxed them back up lol.
Ill let you know if Lagoon cal and mag is in line with alk when I bring samples in tomorrow or Saturday. Im feeling like it has to be on point if alk is staying locked in.
A4R is supposed to be 1 part.
Trick of locking it in may be to continue dosing the 2 parts for first cpl weeks to keep params locked where you want A4R to maintain them.

Tank 2 7.6dkh yesterday Hit with 10ml A4R + 10ml Alk (fusion) same dose previous days. Seeing a solid trend of .5 daily using this dose regimen. Im essentially doubling my normal alk dose to raise it .5 but substituting 10ml of A4R with Fusion. If im correct when I get my alk where I want it I will be dosing 10ml A4R to maintain desired level.
Lagoon has tested @ 8.3 alk for at least a week solid now.

I use afr but don't test, love what you are doing on number two tank, find the levels you like for the big three and adjust, afr to balance it.

I had some issues getting A4R right when my mag was low. Once I brought it back up to suggested levels A4R starting to dial in.
All im doing at the end of the day is taking my known alk dose of fusion. Dosing half of it and the other half A4R.
When I get alk to where I want it and it stabilizes I should be able to stop dosing fusion. Super simple.
Im dosing dbl dose to raise the numbers at 20ml
When I get it to 8.5 ish ill cut that number in half to 10ml to maintain levels not raise them

Blues are highly over rated lol. JK but seriously though get some good pix in full spectrum and let's see what they got If they look same in whites they will blow minds in blues
Then box those particular shrooms up and send. I have close to 6 sq ft of real estate to fill

Quick update tank 2
Didn't have time to test yesterday but dosed the 10ml A4R along with 10ml Fusion alk.
Check today and its sitting 8.0
Dosed 10ml A4R and 5ml Fusion alk.
Check it tomorrow and see where its at I want it to settle at 8-8.5.
