Need help identifying what sickness is this . I am now medicating with metro from sechem and copper power at 2.25 ppm . Jay need to know if this can be saved and if so what would or how long would it take to get him looking pretty again. I have him in a 20 gallon long with cycled bio brick and three small cycled dry rock . Just showed symptoms yesterday and started treatment but I can’t say for sure what it is due to my lack of experience.

Do no t mix Metroplex and copper together as fish has lesions possibly from overdose of medications as metro is an anti-protozoan and copper des the same. You will need to do a major water change and apply coppersafe only monitored with a Hanna Brand copper test kit.
Metro should be used absolutely when necessary and by weight which as .5 gram using a scale best applied to foods

Can you get a clearer picture, one perpendicular to the tank's side? A video would be even better.

The treatments that you've tried are most effective against protozoan disease, and this looks like it could be bacterial.

Is the fish eating?
What other fish are in with it?

Sorry - I just woke up and saw you videos.

See the long streamers of mucus trailing off of the fish? The only disease I know of that causes that is Brooklynella. It is a protozoan that most often infects clownfish, but can infect other species. I cannot say, however, why the other anthias aren't showing symptoms - maybe they just haven't developed the disease as severely yet?

Brooklynella is very difficult to treat. Copper doesn't work. Freshwater dips will hold it back, but not cure the fish. Formalin works well, but that is difficult to source and not safe to use in a home. That pretty much leaves Ruby Reef Rally Pro. It works in mild cases. IMO - it won't save the male, but it should keep the females from getting sick.

Hey Jay, thanks for the response. Unfortunately, the mail at died this morning however, as soon as the male anti developed symptoms, I dose copper power to the tank at 2.25 PPM and seachem metroplex .

Jay, do you think the Metroplex and copper is what’s keeping the other Anthes from contracting to the disease?

I usually avoid using metroplex except for suspected internal flagellate issues. For external protozoan issues, coppersafe or copper power works just fine.
