I dosed CP to my QT at 43mg/gal 16 days ago. About 3 days back, I noticed this guy was filled with tiny white spots (too many). I increased the dosis to 50mg/gal and he is not getting better though he is eating. How long does it take for CP to eliminate desease? does this look like velvet or ick? any other suggestions on how to continue treatment?

Yes indeed, good news is he's active and eating. It caught me by surprise that this would pop up after 2 weeks of CP.

Where did you get your CP from? If it were me I would probably consider a FW dip, followed by an acriflavine bath, then continued treatment in either pharmaceutical grade CP or copper. Maybe @Humblefish can comment.

Also the fish looks thin. What is he eating and how often?

I'm using CP from Diamondback on a PT right now too. Kind of odd that it popped up 16 days into CP. Have you done any water changes and did you dose the new water before changing?

he is eating different kinds of frozen food though I noticed he ain't going after nori. Question: is acriflavine the main ingredient for ruby reef rally?

Yes it is. Ruby reef rally or acriflavine-ms are the common sources.

My bad guys, confused it with Copper Power since both are CP.
Hey no problem :)
btw, I've had bad experiences using cupramine so I went with chloroquine since it seems to be more gentle.

good, I'm pretty sure I have a small bottle at home.
Is FW recommended for ich? I thought it was to treat for fluke.

Sometimes they dont like the taste of the CP getting into the nori. So far mine is still eating nori, but not as much or as quickly as it did before the meds. Throw some pellets or frozen in there and it eats it all in seconds.
