Hey all I am calling an emergency on this as this is now two fish within two weeks.

See the previous fish here

Fish is like the other top fin seems almost mattered alittle. However the wrassee seems alittle swollen on one side. He's hanging around the bottom and not looking fantastic.

All parameters are the same as per my last thread.

Not swimming as fluid as normal but does his usual around when he's up to it I placed him in the sump but I am wondering should I just take him out and accept his fate and maybe reduce the chance of this spreading to another fish.

First, what a beautiful fish! Second, sorry to hear about your situation.

When was the last time you introduced anything to the tank? New fish/ corals/ inverts/ anything?

Nothing new in some time 3 months ago I did buy a gold mindas blenny that died within 24 hours it seemed like he may have been injured by the person that caught him and I didn't think anything of it. He had a blue belly which didn't seem right to me. I have never had these kinds of issues ever in my reef.

I put it down to maybe stress but now I am not so sure.

The fish is 3 years old and is fat and happy minus today's development.

I think he has bloating which is a sign of internal infection. Check the following meds and treatment method.

I'd say the wrasse has a different issue than the tang did. Still, there could be a similar base cause if it is bacterial. In general though, bacterial diseases in marine fish are caused by bacterial already in the environment, and only become infectious if the fish have weakened immune systems or are injured in some way.

I agree that the wrasse has abdominal bloating and this can be caused by internal bacteria. That can be difficult to treat in that oral medications are best, but they need to be dosed properly (you can't just mix some medication with the food, as you won't hit the dose right). Marine fish do drink water, so you can sometimes treat them internally, by treating the water. However, that needs to be done in a treatment tank, not your main display. Neoplex is a good choice for that.

Amoxycillin is sold for aquarium use in some areas. Trouble is, I don't have a dose for you, you would need to look it up online.

The fish died shortly after moving to QT. I am not understanding how they are falling so rapidly I'll. Should I be adding any bacteria or something? The tank is pretty clean and I water change every day.

Sorry to hear. I think you’ve had multiple issues here. What fish are left in the main tank?

O.k. - you still have a substantial group. These are all symptom free? If so, there really isn’t anything that can be done until they show a treatable condition. Watch for lack of appetite and rapid breathing.
