Well, it’s always the expensive fish that die isn’t it….
Just wondering if anyone can tell why
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
15 nitrate

other reef parameters are fine.
It was in a 90g with a tomini tang who is fine and some green chromis and a green shrimp which are also all fine.
He was swimming funny this morning but I had to go to jury duty so couldn’t do much other than I added some prime and threw fresh carbon on top of the filter socks to try and help.
I have the cadaver in a little plastic box if someone wants additional photos of anything.. thanks in advance

Nitrates slightly high in which ammonia has to have some reading. Are you by chance using API test kits?
If so, you are likely getting false readings. To confirm, take a water sample to a trusted LFS that does not use api test kits and have them test the water for you and see what results they come up with and for comparison

I’ve never heard of nitrate requiring ammonia readings. It’s a Red Sea kit, but all the shops around me use API kits to my knowledge.

Does that look like ammonia damage on the fish ?
