In the middle of converting my fresh water tank to a reef tank and noticed the silicone inside of the tank was bubbling pretty bad. I think I would have noticed this the last time I drained it (2 years ago) but I’m not sure. It’s a 7’ long 125 gallon tank so there’s a huge amount of weight. Is it safe? Repair? Replace? Help? lol

No, that's a serious warning sign of glass separation and pending seam breach. Those are fairly extensive -- and not micro-bubbles -- and I wouldn't want to fill that and then have the entire panel separate! 125g is an awful lot of water to end up on your floors.

Fix or replace before using it as a reef tank.

I’ll call around. Can’t find this tank new (so it’ll fit my stand which I already plumbed for my sump… )
You might want to try and start a new post. For locals on R2R with experience on reglazes.

7 foot tanks are probably pretty rare outside of custom builders, I don't think such a size is mass produced unfortunately. It's probably cheaper to get a standard 6' 125 gallon and new stand if you end up going with something new.

If you watch the sales, Petsmart will run the aqueon 125 with a stand for 499. Which you cant beat with a stick.

The stand is nice but not fit for a sump, the tank alone is worth 499 to me.

No its not the reef ready version, It would have to be drilled or HOB overflow. Not ideal but its a 125 standard size and the price is nuts

I actually think that’s exactly what I have. Bought it used. And the cabinet is horrible for a sump. I had to attach a 20 gallon and a 29 gallon tank with a bulkhead fitting to build my sump. Lol. God I hope I can find that deal. Already have plumbing roughed in for it…

Yea, doesn’t come with overflows. I got an overflow kit from Exotic Marine. Was literally 30 seconds away from drilling it until I noticed the silicone.

I built the hood, but I think that’s the same one we’re talking about. I hope at least…
