I am getting ready to modify my drain pipe for a roller mat. If I turn my return pumps off and allow the tank to drain down. Can I remove my drain pipe at the bulkhead?
Yes. It may drip a bit though. If you pull the bulkhead out though it will leak everything out of the overflow chamber, so pull the standpipe first and get a towel or two, if you pull the bulkhead.

Sorry I'm not actually trying to remove the bulkhead. I just want to unscrew the pipe so I can modify it.
