Got the rack up and slides pretty smoothly. Fired up the old Metal Halide, still works perfectly. Dry rock install, Kessils, various LED's and T-5 wiring tomorrow.

Scott, enjoyed the read so far. Can't wait to see it full of water & live rock. Lighting is going to be sweet!

Good Morning, it's been a minute so just giving a quick update. I let the tank mature (started with dry rock) over the summer using Fritz 900 and Microbacter 7 to get started. Added some Kupang damsels a couple months ago, then a couple clowns and then a Tomani Tang. Added some starter corals and some sticks and all are doing well. Still fighting a little cyno but it is clearing up slowly. Just received a couple 250w Radium MH bulbs, (hard to find since they stopped making them!) I will slowly be ramping up the MH so the corals can adjust. Adding my yellow tang & blue tang from my frag tank this weekend.

Well the tank continues to mature and the diatoms have almost faded out completely. I am slowly buying frags around town and online and have about 45 different types of frags added. I noticed last week there were little dots all over the glass, and they ended up being trochus snails. Very cool that I don't have to go out and buy $5 (ea) trochus snails for a while? It's amazing how fast they are growing.

Small update, looks like my Trochus snails continue to spawn as I have all sizes of trochus throughout the tank. Continuing to add frags and have started moving up the high light corals to the rockwork. Slowly ramping up my Metal Halide to get the SPS used to the higher PAR.

Things are going pretty well, coraline algae has covered all my rocks and all the corals are growing nicely. One setback is bubble algae has found it's way in and is multiplying rapidly. May bring my large turf scrubber online to compete with this menace!

Hi All, well the bubble algae issue is out of control. I am manually removing almost daily and just put in four (4) Pithos Crabs to help me out. I saw this guy tearing it up last night, I hope the others follow his lead!

I started dosing vibrant 1mL per 10 gallons. 4 weeks in, starting to see it working. SPS dominant, all corals are still growing and healthy. I dealt with bubble algae for over a year. Had enough.

I believe AlgaeFix is basically the same thing and a good bit cheaper, FYI. There was a huge thread here basically discrediting Vibrant for being anything other than algaecide.

HR, I assume that's a lower dose than recommended? I had looked at that option as well but was going to try the crabs first. I fought bubble algae in my old 150G reef and eventually got rid of it and it never came back.

Well crap, besides fighting the bubble algae outbreak I noticed that my Montipora Spongodes starting bleach out in spots. Put a flashlight on the tank early this morning and found a couple Nudibranch on the coral. Sucked them out with a turkey baster but I am sure there are eggs. I can't take the coral(s) out as most are attached to the rock structure. It's going to be an uphill battle with a tank this big :(
