anyone ever consider adding some skimmate back to the system to feed corals ? moons ago I met a reefkeeper that added some skimmate back to his system on a daily basis. his system was incredible and corals responded favorably to the skimmate

Yes I do it as most is just fish poop.
Just dilute it with some tank water about 10x and you can either spot feed or dose before bedtime in your tank about twice a week.

I have a port tapped into the bottom of my skimmer cup with a hose running off of it. It stays up in the air, higher then the cup so it does not drain out. When the nutrients drop too low, I occasionally place the end of the hose into the intake of the return pump. This will draw skimmate and blow it directly into the display tank.
This hose also allows me to drain it into the sink drain more neatly when emptying the cup. I rarely completely clean the cup when I do empty it. This allows some nutrients to remain in the system somewhat indirectly.
