Hey guys,

My fusion 40g is coming in next week! I need to figure out a skimmer to go with any suggestions?

I wanted to spend around $200

I had that skimmer...I wouldn't recommend it...Microbubbles never went away after 6 weeks of use for me.

I've heard the cadlights pls-50 is a good skimmer with a tiny footprint

The IM fusion 40g has a small skimmer compartment. It's an all in one tank. What do you use now ChuckeeR?

So does that mean you gotta use some small skimmer that fits in that little space compartment? Are those skimmers even worth adding on? Or would that space be better utilized as a fuge?

How big is the skimmer space. The cad lights is 3.5" x 3.25 . The only other skimmer I have seen used in all in one systems is the Tunze 9002 which is 4.9" x 2.1"

Honestly I think a fuge. Are there any HOB skimmers?

I use a reef octopus bh1000 HOB skimmer and I love it. It's on a 20 gallon with a heavy, or soon to be heavy bioload.

I just bought a hydor Koralia slim skim nano.. Fits in the tank nicely, seems to work well.. Just put it in this week though..
