Skimmer issue

I try to run as dry as possible with my skimmer, but never had this issue. Any way to stop this from happening. Coral life 125g skimmer.

I've heard taking mineral oil and rubbing it on the inside of the rim can help.

No dosing, No meds. It was doing this yesterday before a big tank feed. I cleaned the outside of the cup before I turned the skimmer on afterwards.

Weird. Try cleaning the inside of the cup as well, maybe ? It’s like the skimmate is climbing instead of falling down. Maybe there is residue of some kind on the inside of the cup ?
