I found these strands of slime all over a Kenya tree coral this morning. No other corals are bothered but I recently rescaped my aquarium and the Kenya tree is now in higher flow and I did a 25% water change. I’ll enclose some images below.

You might be able to see some of it around the edges of the coral. My guess was maybe it doesn’t like the higher flow and is producing mucus because it’s agitated? Also a brittle Star was moving around the base of it when I turned on the lights so maybe that stressed it too? I’m not sure though, what are you guys’ opinions?

EDIT: This post was somehow posted numerous times? I’m not sure why it replicated itself but it did, sorry for any inconvenience~

Kenya trees will shed periodically. That's what this looks like. The first time mine did it, I thought it was dying.

Within a couple of days it should spring back bigger and better than ever.

Shedding which is typical with change in conditions especially with relocating them.
Assure your salinity is at least 1.025 and temp and other parameters are good. Change in salinity or flow will cause this.
