Was just asking in general. I have always had africans in the past. This will be my first saltwater tank.Most cichlids are not agressive unless they are dealing with a competitor male.

It does depend on the species. Generally a Meicanthus species will coexist with most other blennies. An Ecsenius species, as well as one of the algae eating species, such as an algae or starry blenny.
