Small disappointment with Jecod DMP programming

Ok, this screen shut is for about a 6 month old Bluetooth "gyre type"

And this one is frome a 2 years old "gyre type" wifi

First try this... classique at "some%" and save it

Then go to random mode

Old model don't have the slider but i see the 70%
Does it work ?

yes, the Random mode is the same thing as reefcrest. Its a random pattern of flow from lowest to the highest setting you set

I am using the IOS app and I don't have the option to change the power of the random flow mode but if I set it to random flow I can then change the power on the unit controller it self or if you go into another mode like Sine and set it to the speed you want then go back into random it retains the set speed setting from sine mode.

not sure whats up with your app.I an adjust flow power on Random with my DMP pumps I am using Iphone as well

I got a DMP20 for my waterbox 60.2 and just ordered another one for that tank too. Works well.

The iPhone app is so-so, not as good as ecotech... the plastic feels cheap as well.. but heck its a fraction the cost of the Vortech.

One strange thing is I can connect to bluetooth fine but it wont connect via wifi.. Glad I got the bluetooh & wifi combo version.

Plus he sells a disassembly tool as well to make taking apart the wetside for deep cleaning much easier

they have changed it since these DMP came out. You can control the Random speeds all the way from 30-100% for maximum flow

hey Jon! i am about to get one, but i wanted to verify this with you first since you seem to know what you're talking about! =). I just have 2 questions if you don't mind, since i tried ot read here but got confused? #1-So you said on the vortech knockoff Jebao DMP-40s you can adjust the maxspeed in the "random" pattern (which is all i want to use), and that they can also work as a master and slave concept? and #2- i also happen to have one of the Jebao Smart Wifi/Bluetooth MOW-30 (WIRED ones) they have been selling here in the states the last couple years.... do you think/know if the new DMP ones that ya'll are buying/using can also be used on the same Jebao App? I wonder if Jebao just has ONE app that is universal?

odd, there app is so basic I thought they used the same one for every pump. I know when I had the SLW pumps the app was a carbon copy of the DMP app minus the random flow setting back then.

Yes the DMP pumps have control of random all the way down to 30% power. Sync does work just fine but its not as fancy as Mobius or the AI version.
You set your master pump and set the programming. Then you select each slave pump and select the max power that pump will go. So if you have a setting on the master of say random at 75% and the sale you dont set it at 100% thinking it will then match the 75% you need to set the slave 75% or you can set it to 60% if you want it to run less than the master

yes, it follows the program of the master but will only go as high as you set it. Say on pulse the master is at 90% and 75% pulse and you set the sale to 50 it will run at 50% power but still 75% pulse

Linking these 2 pumps for me has been a nightmare. I've been trying to figure out how to get 2 pumps to link and stay inline with each other for a month now. I have (2) DMP40's. I've set one as Master and the other as Slave. I have the Master programmed to 2 modes. It runs at 60% in the day and 30% at night. I set the Slave speed at 60%. Just now, as they changed to my night mode (Random Flow)... the Master is running correctly at 30% BUT the Slave is still running at 60%. This has been my issue for a month now. Seems the Slave pump IS changing modes correctly with the Master BUT it's not changing speeds. IF I manually change the Slave speed to 30% at night, it WILL change from 30% to 60% when my afternoon mode kicks in at 60% BUT it WON'T DROP from 60% to 30% at night when it's suppose to. What the heck? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Let me answer my own question.

I reached out to Jebao and asked about the matching speed issue. This is what they said:
"The master-slave can sync the modes and frequency, but not power/watt. You need to set the watt% individually on each pump."

I'm not sure I would have bought a pair of their pumps if I knew this. I can't believe they can't the Slave pump won't match the set speeds of the Master in each mode. This sucks.

I have 5 pump...master/slave are a pain....
I just use programme for each pump...
Or master/slave only in pulse or cross flow mode same power%. Etc..

Not to bump this old thread but I finally set up two dmps on my tank and realized this limitation for linkage. Is there any actual advantage to having two pumps using random flow synced... Is it just as good to program them both with the same program?
