My question would be HOW did you turn reds off? There aren't any red channels to be turned off, unless I'm mistaken.

According to the user manual, the channel layout of the Smat Farm G5

Channel A 14000K Cold White
Channel B 450nm Deep Sea blue+457nm Dark Blue
Channel C 430nm Indigo blue
Channel D 420nm Purple/Violet
Channel E 3000K Warm White
Channel F 500nm Green

There is no RED channels or red LEDs to turn off on the Smat Farm lights.

Channel F is GREEN, not red. Turning channel F down turns green down, not red.

And FYI running these lights at 20/100/100/100/20/60 will get you closest to the AB+ spectrum, per @telegraham . Those are the settings he used for his testing when he measured the spectrum and PAR output at spectrum.

I recognize this is an old thread, but hoping someone else is running these with SPS.

running a G5 over my Fluval Evo 13.5 SPS reef.

Settings - A 35%, B - 100%, C - 100%, D - 100%, E - 5%, F - 100%.

I am happy with the PAR at these levels but I‘m wondering if anyone else has setting suggestions to optimize coloration without sacrificing too much PAR. I have good growth, I’d just like a little more pop/intensity in terms of color.
I’m running these lights on my 1 yr old tank…but I did add 2 OR3 bars… 1 sky blue and a blue plus on back side…

pic is with blues turned way down to get pic

Anybody have those on a biocube? if so what settings are you guys running.
My wife’s is in a Bio-Cube 32. I’d have to check her settings. I not currently happy with spectrum but that is what it is. It’s keeping her BTAs alive and well.

Anyone have the dimensions for the mount on the 95 watt light? I need to have a cutout made for my lid.
Not sure about the new mount but here’s measurements for the old one (not sure if there’s a difference in the base between old and new)

Hi there!

I haven't read through all 28 pages, but hear GREAT THINGS about these lights!

Anyone have an answer to the mount not fitting rimmed tanks? I'm trying to avoid hanging it off my ceiling, but let me know if there's an alternative!

My mount for these lights (bought a couple years ago now) was 2 peices, so I was able to take part of mine apart and use the same screw holes to mount directly to the wall. I can find photos of you want.

I ended up taking the fixture apart and removing the lenses and then glueing frosted acrylic sheets over the fixture to create a nice diffused light. Worked pretty good

My mount fit just fine but I have the old mount.

If it was me, I’d just use a razor blade and trim the rim area where you want the light.

That’s how I did it as well. Still have the holes in the wall to prove. Wife keeps saying when are you going to patch the holes? I have two units I am no longer using, just saying IMG_0747.jpeg

The black is the super glue. Put a little to much on the first time. Works really good. Frosted acrylic on Amazon

Just ordered my first 140w smatfarm, calling it a G6 version. Looks alot different than the ones people have reviewed. Anyone ran across reviews for this newer model, everything on Amazon is the 60w and 95w. Thanks.

Didn’t know about the 140w version. I did find this but it’s not a review:

The metal mount clamps touch the water in my tank ever so slightly. Is this metal going to be a problem?
