Sounds like a good plan, especially the phyto. It's amazing how much more your tank comes to life when adding phyto on a regular basis, pods, sponges, feather dusters, etc.... So have you started your dailies yet or any corrections now that you're on the other side of the GHA battle?

Yeah I've really noticed some growth on one of the gorgs and much better polyp extension.

I've been doing my dailies consistently along with vitamin-x and brightwell's coral amino. I need to order an ATI test and get back full shine for sure. I've been waiting to see if I can take care of the little bryposis patch without dosing flux. I see my sailfin picking in that area after I siphon it out so hopefully I can continue with that and not have to dose anything.

I'm sure my growth would be even better with some corrections. The 15g w/c are keeping it looking good for now but I am interested to see how much trace elements it's actually replenishing.

Little glimpse at what’s going on for the new tank.
Played around with rocks, sand and glue most of yesterday. The box is 2” shorter all around than the tank will be but here is the basic layout. The market is a rough of where this tanks scape will slide in. Front left will be Left open for potential gigantea someday. Going back and forth between upper level or leaving it open and let coral growth fill the space.

I’m struggling to figure out how to work Mh into the setup without making a huge canopy. I think I’m going to stick with the 3 G5’s and try and score some 360 Kessils as they pop up used for shimmer and to blend the tank out more white.

Now to get this cycling for a couple months!

Nice! I say leave it open. I would visualize corals, full blown colonies and their growth pattern and place the rock accordingly. I think people get caught up in how the rock looks bare, instead of focusing on the future colony that's going to take up that space. I like the first pic, but I like the individual island/bommie scapes the best. It always reminds of the reef flats I usually snorkel in. Good start, can't wait to see what's next.

Another reef buddy said the same thing and i agree. Specially if I’m going to do mostly stags on the center rock might as well let them grow up and fill that in. I’ll just have to fight my urge to have more space to buy more stuff! I’ve probably already got more pieces in my 75 then I should for this build.

I'm in the same boat. It's really hard to hold on and be patient for the long game, but seeing full colonies is simply stunning. I'm trying to convince my LFS to put a few montis and stags in his display and just let them grow, along with his huge leathers, it would look awesome. I don't have any water in my 25g lagoon and it's already filled.

That is what a lot of LFS are missing now days, that stunning show tank.

I found 3 x A360W locally for a really decent price. I turned one all white and just held it between two of my radions, it's exactly what I was hoping it would look like. I can't believe the shimmer cuts through so well and the white light of the kessil is spot on. I don't think they'll do a ton for PAR in the larger tank but by the looks of it they'll blend very well.

Yeah, they're the only led that comes close to that MH look, which is what drew me to them when I was looking for led's. I'm a huge fan of using different led's together, because not one led does everything, but when mixing them, you can cover the shortcomings of the other.

I believe this Orange Creamsicle or something like that? I'm blanking the name but it is starting to shoot off some branches after incrusting for awhile.

R. Florida. Yuma will have rows or patterns to the "bubbles" whereas florida just seems random. Also, there will be no bubbles on the mouth (oral disc) of florida. Yuma tend to be less forgiving and can be delicate. They look great! Tank is looking great!

I decided to swap out my g5 blues for a 36" reefbrite hybrid system. These are under 250w 14k Hamilton lamps driven by the RB ballasts. It has the xho strips but I stll need to set them up.

I'm 12" off the top of tank and will be running at 8 hours with a short 30 of XHO on both ends. My next system will be MH so I'm acclimating them back to MH now, so it's one less change when it's time to swap over.

Hell, I believed the Kessils were the way to go, but glad to see you got what you always preferred.
Stunning corals and photographs as always.
Is 14K the lamp you will us with the upgrade as well? Wondering how it will look with the XHO strips.
So lighting period will be 9 hours in total?
