Hello everyone! I have a question on one of my Margarita snails there appears to be a hole with this funky plant looking think growing out of the shell. Is this something anyone can identify and does it hurt the snail/will it spread beyond the shell or to new snails?

Appreciate any help!

Sorry, for the slow response - can you get the pic under white light like the pic in post #2?

Again, I'm fairly confident these are feather duster worms, so they'd be harmless filter-feeders, but the pic looks like a cluster of them rather than just one, but it also seems that there's only one tube, which would make this quite odd. Can you tell if there are several small ones or one big one?
 
Definitely will tomorrow with the lights, my clown is acting funny so do not want to stress him out. I am paranoid its brook as he looks white and is swimming weird. :(
 
Same snail from a few days ago without the visible possible feather duster, but it shows the hole section on the left.

Man I am really a new hobbyist always worried haha, clown is looking fine today, i never realized how much color they lose at night. Anyway here is a white light picture:
