Well, as anyone in the northern part of Illinois may know, we are getting a nice little winter storm. So after two hours straight of shoveling, I was told "I hope you plan on leaving a path to the garage so I can get my car out."

So naturally, I did what anyone would do.. pile up the remainder of the snow in front of the garage door!

After a pleasant discussion, I was forced to remove my mini mountain, only to find that the pile of snow has bent the door frame and moved the kick plate. Fun!

While working on my new problem, my jacket was zipped all the way up and was getting irritating. Of course, the zipper was stuck. This was 3 hours in, so I decided open my jacket like he-man due to being irritated and exhausted. Here is the result!

And what did we learn from this? o_O

That's right. Never live anywhere cold if you don't have kids old enough to shovel!

Lol! I’ve been enjoying watching my association move all the snow away. But this was quite an epic read. Lesson learned: Do not hulk open your jacket.

Lucky! Im one of those weirdos that loves to shovel, but this is ridiculous! And I guess it's not stopping anytime soon.

Yes, best lesson of the year, so far[emoji23]. There goes a skiing jacket, good thing I leave for skiing in 2 weeks[emoji58]

I've found that hardwood ash makes a fairly decent ice melt. I use oak pellets in my stove, a 5g bucket of ash spread liberally around my driveway works wonders.

Next time use the 4*1000 watt Metal Halides you have stashed in the basement to melt the snow.
