Haha no I'm not. But when we first started dating I had 4 of them that she didnt know about. I did ease her into it by getting her a baby one so she could raise it. She enjoyed it until it got about 4 feet long. They have their own heated room in a far off section in the basement.

She must be a calm woman. If I even put one snake in my basement my wife would require one of these security systems in the house

Well, the only thing I don’t have is ordinary pets, no dog, no cat. Here are our 3 snakes, a hypomelanistic okeetee corn snake, that’s about 25 years or more, seriously, no lie. A Taiwan beauty, and a Hognose . The only one I brought home was the corn snake. My eldest son takes good care of the reptiles and other animals. He built a terrarium and just days ago, got some poison dart frogs for it. We also got a yellow-foot toroise that roams the yard, and a rabbit that just showed up in the yard a while back. Think he wanted to race the tortoise or something!

I had a snake before my wife got pregnant too...... Here he was when he was smaller, before we were married or even met.

only thing i can add is,about 25 years ago i was in arkansas for the first time ,just got there after driving all night from chicago,was just after sunrise ,was talking to my inlaws neighbor prob 80 yrs old about where to fish ,all of a sudden he whips out a pistol fires 3' from my feet ,scared the xxxx out of me,i quote and will never forget what he said "see dat thar is a rattler the'll get you good you don't see where you walking"with strong southern accent ,happy reefing
