Tank is looking great. How deep is it? How do you reach to the back or bottom or back of the tank? The reason I ask is I have a simular canopy and I have to take it off every time I do maintenance. Like vacuum the sand bed, clean the glass, move or remove corals, etc. I've been thinking about building another canopy with a opening front lid. But with a 6 foot tank with T5 lighting, I don't know how sturdy it would be built that way.

Whole system is a custom build and tank is 29" deep and I use tongs and 30" algae scraper. I dont need to vacuum sand as I have nano power heads on lower rear of tank providing low flow to coral and moving detritus forward
My Canopy has a front lid Which I do not use as I have full clearance to tank with doors open.
My Tank is 9ft an canopy very sturdy on there

The things we do to introduce new fish. Acclimated since this morning and tank now blacked out due to jerks: Purple tang and one of the yellows.
Will post pics when they are settled in. Adding Dussomieri tang and Lavender tang- Now at 23 tangs

Does that work? Can’t be a jerk if you can’t see who you’re being a jerk to?

Works every time. Cant see is the key. In a half hour, the new fish will be introduced and the tank will be so dark that none of the fish should be awake/active to see new arrivals Until i decide via apex, that the lights go on which will be minimal tomorrow.
Many ask How I get all these tangs to cohabitate and introduced without a fight- THIS IS HOW
Inside of the tank is totally black- zero light

Fed feed and feed and add nori
When I resume lights around noon, theyre hungry.

Result:
See purple on Bottom- Desjardini has been in tank about 3 weeks. Purple couldnt care less about it
