I had to raise my alk more than normal using BRS liquid sodium bicarbonate and I also added Seachem Clarity during my normal water change. I think the combination is causing my skimmer to go overboard. Or does adding more than normal sodium bicarbonate cause this? I tried putting in a piece of Poly Filter (by Poly Bio Marine Inc.) but it hasn't alleviated all the bubbles. Other than a water change does anyone have any other ideas?

Seachem clarity is probably causing this as its flocculating (binding together) small particles to make them larger. Or its just the chemistryn of it. Sodium bicarbonate wont cause a skimmer to produce too much bubbles.
