When I can I would like to add soft corals to my new 180 gal. tank. This is my 2nd tank (had one 20 years ago) and I plan on sticking with softies. I was looking at some of the hardy, fast spreading easy soft corals that some people feel like can grow too fast and be too invasive. I'm wondering if I should stay away from them or how they are to control.

Green polyps, mushrooms, tree corals, for example.

Specifically looking at:
Green Clove Coral
Yellow Tree Coral
Hairy Lavender Mushrooms
Kenya Tree
Green Polyp Toadstool Leather
Devils Hand Coral
Finger Coral

Would also like some zoas, not sure how mature my tank needs to be before adding these. Still learning about them.

I'm not trying to add all of these at once. Just some I might add over time.
How do I manage these types of corals, if they become too invasive? If they are next to each other will these types equally maintain their ground for the most part? Or will one over run another?

Green star polyps grow quick and can become invasive, cloves as well. I keep them isolated to control and appreciate them. As for zoas, if you do a zoa garden one will eventually take over and be the dominant zoa colony. Shrooms can spread like crazy too.
