I remember an article in a hatchery paper several years ago about a hatchery tech using copper scrubbing pads to kill fungus on trout eggs. I tried it...meh....cancer causing formalin works much better. I think I needed a stronger dose of copper. I tried to get more info from the guy......he told me he couldn't talk about it anymore.

Copper infused boat bottom paint has been banned for a few years in Washington and I think San Diego. I just wonder how many cars equal one boat but I am glad we are cleaning up our act.

I guess I don't understand the article or GM for that matter. Coming from an owner of a 2015 Ford Mustang GT/PP which I tracked several times a year I didn't use factory brake pads anyway. I believe they sourced from Brembo also similar to Ford - why design something that is already done and works very well. I mean maybe I'm missing something but there are plenty of brake pads to choose from and seems like a more simple approach.

Then again I live in the stupid state and nothing makes sense. We are all in love with a bullet train to nowhere and electric vehicles that everyone forgets needs electricity to run with the highest cost per kwh around.

It is what they focus on. Its like follow the money.

They are worried about brake dust compared to say pharmaceuticals. People toss medication down the drain left and right and it runs right into the rivers. I guess they want to ban a sports car but are ok with a three headed trout. /boggle

Huh, good to know as I'm a proud owner of a 2016 Camaro SS2. I'll have to be careful after washing my rims, my hands are typically dirty for days afterwards since even orange lava soap can seem to get the residue off.
