Hey all,

I have my RO/DI unit downstairs in my laundry room. I need to run an output line from the laundry room upstairs. My questions are:

  1. What size of tubing do I need (diameter)?
  2. Will the water pump through a 50 ft cord properly?
  3. What will I need to connect the extension to the original tubing?

Thanks,
Mr. Fishy Fish

1. 1/4 inch is fine.
2. Yes, household water flow/pressure has runs longer than that. So long as the source water pressure is sufficient to filter the water, you are good to go.
3. 1/4 inch push-to-connect fitting. I would recommend a shut-off in line.
