posts get edited too.. like by the mods.. a racist/political comment got edited and removed a few days ago so the part about reefs was left but not the potentially offensive political stuff.

This made me chuckle. Especially

6: its not "cool" or "cute" to name a clownfish "nemo" or marlin
either find a clownfish with 1 smaller fin or actually get a single microbe of creativity

Since i do have a clownfish with 1 deformed stubby pectoral fin named nemo. I wasnt about to tell my wife we cant name it nemo The more into the the tank she is the better.

But the takeaway here is : its your tank, and youre the only one who has to look at it every day. Build your tank the way YOU like it. Not the way a bunch of internet randos like it. As long as you as youre providing the right environment for your inhabitants, you do you.


Theres no drama like niche hobby drama.

I remember some spicy threads but they were just normal common threads that just went crazy out of nowhere. Like there was one about a tank crash where a few people got in a very heated argument that went on for pages but had little to do with the thread.
