Spot on my foxface

It looks like a perfectly round circle. Do you have anything in your tank drawing in water that it may have gotten close to?

Is he acting any differently, or did you have a previous parasite outbreak? Foxface have thick slime coats and can develop idiopathic mucus plugs for a multitude of reasons or no reason at all. That’s what it looks like to me. I’m uncertain of the cause though. This could be an injury that’s healing. Do you have an anemone that could have stung him?

In the future, I would post something like this in the Fish Disease and Treatment sub forum. Experts like @vetteguy53081 and @Jay Hemdal will see it faster that way.

This looks to be a bite mark or puncture wound from an urchin. I suspect urchin- Any at all? If not. something a clown or similar would do as they do bite as a defense mechanism

Bacteria often grows in a circle like that, (think colonies on a Petri dish) starting from some injury. As long as it isn’t growing larger or new ones show up, you may not need to treat it. If you do treat, it would be in a hospital tank with a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic like Neomycin.

I have clowns but no urchins. He does like to hang in the same cave as the clowns. Perhaps they are beefing?

Forgot to add that i haven’t had any parasite concerns prior to this. I did have one of my clowns with a wound on it a couple weeks ago

As suspected and likely- the clowns. Should heal on its own but keep an eye on area for healing and not becoming red or sore

How big is the rabbit fish . Looks to big to be a bite from a clown
