@reyc

This is what patience gets you.

Top is 1 year ago. With my old 55g, hotb 75g aqueon filter, hotb skimmer, and a cheap Fluval Led Strip light.

Bottom is today. 125g. Drilled, sump, the whole 9.

I have lost over $400 in Fish, corals, and invertabres over the last year due to rushing, and not having the patience required in this hobby.

My best advice to u is to stop adding anything. And let the tank mature. Develop a Quarantine routine for new additions to ensure your display tank is pest-free. Saltwater is not like freshwater where if u get a parasite or disease in your tank u can just dump chemicals in and it's all better. Salt requires a 2nd tank all together to treat the fish in for issues. I went through it. It sucks.

Any questions at all refer to the sticky post at the top of each forum here on r2r. This forum saved my fish corals, and my $ many times over.

Good luck :)

Full details in my build thread, but I'm running an aquatic life 48" T5 hybrid with 3 Radion XR15 Gen4 pros with diffuser panels over a RSR525XL tank. SPS are definitely happy. One of these days I'll get some blue-light pics showing how colorful some of them are.

Nothing to it really. Starts in a thread like this. And we meet up. Could rotate host houses to see peoples' tanks in person. Always liked that idea.

So i picked up some old rocks i had and small filter bag rocks with like a 2 yr old water... mature tank rocks bag and water... hasnt been moving around should i use it? Or should i wash it all with clean tap water then rodi water and start its cycle over? I am afraid to use it as is. I am leaning more on washing it all out with tap water then rodi water. Ill post some pics of the new big rocks :)

Tank update

Soon adding more rocks and pvc for temporary hiding spots... some rocks to the display and some rocks to the sump.. i will add new dry rock only to be safe. Also only a few at a time? I think it will matter if i add like 30 lbs of rocks all together... it might play a part in my test levels... i might add a piece of rock and add a cap of live bacteria just to be safe. So the bacteria has somewhere to sit on.
