I grew this one out from 1/2 in and yes it was really 1/2in into this mini frag lol and I have never seen any thing close to it?

is it a tort,? my guessing was a tortusa but Im no expert in sps
please help

Whatever it is, its very nice. Like how its green, purple, blue, and white!

To me it looks like a cali tort.

IMO that other wild coral is totally different.

To me it does look like a tort. Somewhat like the ORA "ice tort" the coralites and color are much like the other Cali torts.

I dont know but the branches seem some what thin compared to other tort? I'll try to take some side shot later on today.

By the way Troy, it was a brown tiny stick that the local reefer gave me probably about 1 and a half ago. cant recall what he called but he did say it was a used to be a very nice acro.

I'm going with Cali tort also. The branches will grow different thickness depending on flow. Mine is in two different spots in the tank and grows totally different. You wouldn't even think they are the same coral from the same colony.
