While you are correct in a sense, not much can wrong with vodka besides cyano.... If you follow sunnyx and his procedure it's fool proof and easy honestly.... A overdose of mb7 isn't gonna hurt anything... A overdose of vodka will cause cyano or burnt tips on acros if your alk is over 10 or so.... Not to sure why everyone is scared of it honestly... It's simple it's cheap and really almost fool proof.."unless you have a couple swigs of that vodka before you dose it haha" :tongue:Agree 100%. You are overfeeding like a madman lol. SPS's like much cleaner, well stabilized water params with .02ish trates(everything needs some food in the water column, don't starve them like they do on zeovit). Just remember, SPS = Stability Promotes Success.
Sorry Toylee, you are very knowledgeable and well respected in the community but I would not recommend this if you don't know what you are doing. Never needed to dose vodka but have heard horror stories about someone trying it to fix a situation and not knowing what they were getting into and had die offs due to params being wacked out from doing stuff they weren't supposed to. Go slow and watch it grow, do water changes with a good salt and run fresh activated carbon regularly. Can you get a pic? It would help to see what they look like and where they are placed in the tank/how big they are and what species they are.
