Perfectly normal. I wouldn't intervene unless the clam is fully tipped over. He's finding a spot/position that he likes.
Keep an eye on the mushrooms though. That squamosa looks great.
We had rhodactis that were pretty aggressive, they would even kill off GSP. We had a clam fall into a scoly and a few rhodactis and both clams perished from being half digested. I wouldn't worry, just keep an eye out.Aren’t mushrooms pretty tame?
My squammies move around in circles quite a bit... no so much now that they are large, but it is pretty common.
