Hi everyone,

I recently purchase a Sand Sifting Sea Star and I was researching online that they could starve and die. Will my starfish harm my fish or crash my tank?

thank you everyone!

If it dies it could cause ammonia to spike in a tank that size if the clean up crew doesn't eat it fast enough. They really need a bigger sand bed.

As spare time said, there could be an ammonia spike if it died in your tank. This is just my thinking, but if you are worried that it might die in your tank, I would be concerned about putting its life at risk.
