hey everyone! hope you're all having a good night. I've had a pretty crappy day today so I decided to get on here an make an update post in hopes that it will put me into better spirits.

If you look at my original build thread you'll see that i started off with a 32g BioCube and had already started on another tank. Well that 65g tank has been going for a little over a year now. the equipment that i have on that guy is as follows
2 Ai prime 16HDs
2 Nero 5s
Simplicity 75 SS Sump
Simplicity 120 DC skimmer
Simplicity 120 DC Return pump
Tunze ATO

as for whats living inside!

4 blue damsels
1 snowstorm clown
1 Bengai Cardinal.
i used to have more but the damsels ended up going after some of the others :( such as my 6 line wrasse you'll see in one of the pictures below and my other clown

as for corals
4 bubble tip nems (1 rainbow bubbletip)
GSP
Chalice
Elegance
clove polyps
and a variety of zoas

here are some photos for you guys!

and for the final update. i'm already setting up and cyling my next tank! i't's a 110g tank and will be using most of the same equipment but with an additional 2 Ai Primes and Nero 5s as well as a larger sump that came with it. once this tank is fully cycled i will start moving everything over and will have 4 lights and 4 power heads

Hello Everyone! i have come with an update! on my 110g tank. yesterday everything was ready for the tank transfer!

First we started off with the regular scheduled maintenance on the tank. Testing of the water, cleaning the display and starting a water change. Once we got all of that done and took out approximately 30% of the water we decided to start moving all of the live rock from the 65g over to the 110 seeing how much of it we wanted to keep and what can be kept out or put in the refugium since the rock was well established and in the previous system for over a year. at first we just put everything inside the tank and then started to see what we were working with

we also got all of the coral into the tank as we tried to figure out the direction we wanted to go. We ultimately went with a multi level structure in the middle and to the right and built a solo structure on the left creating so many little avenues for fish to swim through and hide when they want to. we also got all of the lights and wave pumps moved over during this time as well. we ended up leaving out 1 rock while the rest went into the display or refugium.

here is a good shot of how i set up the lights. originally i planned to replace the metal brackets on my old ai primes that were on the 65g. but they were on back order and didnt arrive in time so we temporarily installed them as is. we actually ended up falling in love with the look and decided to keep it! the outside lights are angled inward slightly so that the light spread isnt wasted as they were closer to the ends of the tank and can getting some more overlap.

and finally here are a bunch of pictures of all the inhabitants of the tank. all of which are really happy. especially the scopas tang who loves the new rockscape and is actually coming out a lot more swimming all through out it! I've also added a few more fish today :)

1 more clown to go with my other one
a Red Coris wrasse
diamond goby
and a peppermint shrimp
