Hello everyone, I will be starting up a Biocube 29 gallon in the next month or so. Gathering up the last bits of equipment & finishing up the aquascape, then glueing/mortaring it together.

The tank will be run by the following equipment:
Innovative Marine MightyJet 538 Return Pump
Cobalt 100w Heater
Finnex Heater Controller
InTank Media & Refugium Baskets
JBJ Nano Glo Refugium Light
Ice Cap K1 Nano Protein Skimmer
EcoTech Vortech MP10
EcoTech Radion XR15 G5 Blue with RMS Mount
JBJ Nano ATO
Kraken Reef Custom Lid

Can anyone shoot me any tips before starting the cycle?
I’ve got 40lbs of Carib-Sea Arag-Alive Special Grade Reef Sand, is that too much?

Will I need a supplementary wavemaker to run in the back of the tank to reduce dead spots?

I’m going for a mixed reef, 60/40 majority sps. Acans, torches, a few zoas, lots of scolys, & lots of acropora at the top. Can anyone give me any tips on the aquascape I’ve made? There’s a very open area in the back I need advice on what to change. I love the aquascape for coral placement, don’t love it as a home for the fish.

Fish stock list will be
2 x Frostbite Clownfish
1 x 6 Line Wrasse
1 x Starry Blenny

I’m on the fence about a Diamond Goby or a Cherub Angel in the future.

I think 40lbs of sand will be too much. I have a 35gal, and 20lbs was enough.

I had a feeling 40lbs was a bit much, but wanted to be safe rather than regret it in case one day I got the Diamond Goby. Good advice though, thank you!
Mine was around an inch deep with a display area of 23.6"×15"×17.7"
