I've been getting the urge for a mantis again. After reading your thread P. ciliata might be the choice. My problem is I want them all!

P. ciliatas are my fav. How cool is a spearer that acts like a smasher? Plus when they molt, it's cool to see them change color.

I've actually taken a few vids, but none of them turned out good enough. My camera likes to overexpose the crap out of fish tanks when I take videos.. I'll try again next time I feed :)

Nice name, btw ;) Dang, and you're in TN, too? *wave*

Looks awesome and makes me want one now! Just a quick question though. I noticed you take out the filters out of your HOB and put rock/rubble in them. How is that working out for you? I noticed there isn't much filtration but your biological.

Thanks :) All I did was replace a filter pad with live rock and chaeto (idk if you can see the other pad in there). Think of my tank as a fuge.. the macro does a wonderful job at keeping the params down, along with small, weekly water changes. I don't know if the small amount of chaeto and rubble really helps at all, but I like seeing the sponges in the HOB.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
