Not reef related but I found this amusing…. I was washing dishes when I heard a jingle and saw my cat right in front of me(kitchen is semi island in the middle of 2 hallways)

New pics for the day. Heavy feeding for both fish and coral. Frozen and a mix of dry powdered mixed with water (separately ). Here’s my feeding supplies as well as the phyto/amino/vitamins I use. Phyto was from a fellow reefer that I met thru the SBB sales threads, @Kasrift .

Agreed.

Steve, I know you take your photos through the Kraken glasses, correct? Is there any way to tweak so the FTS doesn’t have an overall orangeish tint?

You know I know NOTHING about photography, but if you could find a way, that should be submitted for ROTM. They are picky on quality of actual photo and I think you deserve to be acknowledged.

Thank you for those kind words, but I truly don’t feel worthy of that particular honor. I have been featured on Reef 365 for my previous SR60 reef. And I’m about to post a a video (with music!) now that I think will showcase the tank this morning.

I had a medium grade bubble algae outbreak. It was all over. I’d estimate several hundred. I added two pithos crabs and in about a month I have no bubble algae left

Now the pithos crabs clean the sand and they even burrow in it. Eat bubble aiptasia and stir/clean my sandbed. Win win

Haha, I’d love to add emeralds or better yet pithos. But I have a smallish mantis that’s about 2ish inches long at most that came in with the extra live rock I got when setting the tank up. Hasn’t bothered the fish and as far as I can tell it’s a smasher type and has apparently only eaten some snails along with the fro food that the whole tank gets. So it stays for now. Hardly see the little bugger except at feeding time. Gave the name Master of Bugs due to its appearance.

Lucky you!
I used to keep a peacock mantis in a 30g. One of the coolest pets I ever had. Raised him from a baby and he lived around 5 years maybe 6
