Thank you for those kind words, but I truly don’t feel worthy of that particular honor. I have been featured on Reef 365 for my previous SR60 reef. And I’m about to post a a video (with music!) now that I think will showcase the tank this morning.
Sir! You are always worthy!

Here’s a little Sunday video to get in the mood.

Beautiful - and who knew you had all those wonderful fish?!? What was that lil translucent one that looked like a goby that snuck into his cave in beginning of video?

That’s my Pearly Jawfish. They’re a kind of goby. The reason I have a deep sandbed is partly cause I wanted one . Really love the blue spotted jawfish but the like cooler water, closer to 68-70 to be truly happy and stupidly expensive (180-220 bucks)

I thought I’d share this. It’s the info on the wavemakers/pumps and lighting from a conversation I was having on another thread.
Love the garden, it’s gorgeous. I wish I could keep Torches better than I can, they just seem to hate the two tanks.
Thanks, I love them, but this tank is the first I’ve had as a reef that they really seem happy in. Not sure of par but the flow in the tank is supplied by 2 Nero 3 on the right side of the tank(both at 45%) on a 3/1 second pulse , a mightyjet 226 set on pulse at 2.6(max 2.9) on the same side, Jebao scp 70 on pulse at the second to lowest setting, and a Jebao mlw 20 set to 30 on the back to give some cross flow and swirl. For the lights on the left I have a ReeFi Uno Pro 2.0 set to 86 watts during the hours of 10a to 6:30p and on the right I have a ReefBreeders Photon v2 with a ReefBreeders Lumen Bar UV/Blue attached to it. The Photon has the settings G10/R10/LB70/W3/B70/V70 at peak between 10a-6p. The Lumen Bar is at 100% from 9:30a-6:30p

Is that an amaze balls Goni?
Yep. I had bought 2 at door buster deal price of $199 at TCK corals last fall. They definitely seem a bit more finicky than even other Gonis. This one finally started to get happy and fluffy in this tank after some ups and downs.

You know when you intend to just make a small change then it turns into an almost hourlong project? Decided I want to add a bit of separation between the the torches so I went ahead to push the racks just a bit apart. Well, after magnets falling into the rear fuge area not once but twice and having to use the forceps to get them out(thankfully easy to do as they’re made of steel) and finally getting them in place and moving one of the Neros slightly and bumping both from 45% to 50% plus slightly adjusting scp and increasing its flow rate a notch…

Omg - that sounds like me anytime I move a coral or drop a coral on the sandbed! I always hit one of the gyres, knock the flow off-kilter just a touch and spend the next 10 minutes trying to fix it!

Btw, I’m looking for non- rusting super long tongs/tweezers. I’m too short and tanks too tall.

What are all your reefing veterans using? And please give full item name or link please. I’m old and tired and just want to press click - lol.

Love those corner racks.
I’ve only got the one right now where the favia/favites are, but I do really like it as well. Despite having a couple “normal” FijiCube racks , I prefer the ones fabricated to oook like rock shelves.
